Safe bouldering

As with any sport, bouldering also carries risks. You can sustain injuries, and a fall from height can cause (serious) injury to yourself or others. Therefore, ensure you are well prepared and only go bouldering if you are in good health. Think about your own safety, but also the safety of other boulderers.

  2. Visitors are all natural persons who make use of the described sports facility.
  3. Active visitors are visitors who make use of the offered sports facilities. Active visitors must be registered in the electronic membership database of the Boulder Hall before they are allowed to use the sports facilities.

Article 2 | Safety

  1. Visitors are required, upon entering the sports facility of the Boulder gym, to familiarise themselves with the general terms and conditions, house rules, and safety regulations of the Boulder Hall, which can be consulted online and/or are located in the immediate vicinity of the reception. In case of any ambiguity regarding these regulations or their compliance, the visitor is obliged to seek clarification by approaching the staff present, before making use of the facilities provided.
  2. Active visitors are only required to make use of the provided facilities if their health condition is optimal and their fitness level is sufficient to undertake the offered sports activities.
  3. Active visitors are obliged, when using the provided facilities, to be mindful not only of their own safety but also of that of others.
  4. The general terms and conditions, house rules, and safety regulations apply to every visit and participation of the active visitor at the Boulder gym.

Article 3 | Access

  1. Every active visitor who wishes to use the offered sports facilities must register electronically at the reception during their first visit and thereby declares acceptance of the house and safety rules as well as the general terms and conditions. The active visitor will receive an electronic confirmation of their registration.
  2. Every active visitor must check in at each visit, before the start of the sports activities, at the reception, either by scanning their membership card at the desk or by reporting to a staff member.
  3. Children under 6 years old do not have access to the mats and the bouldering walls and therefore cannot actively participate in sports activities at the Boulder Hall. We make an exception for 5-year-old children. They are only allowed to boulder during the climbing lesson designated for them.
  4. Active visitors aged 6 to 12 are only allowed access to the sports facilities under the direct supervision of at least one adult visitor who signs the registration form.
  5. Independent bouldering is permitted from the age of 12, unless otherwise agreed with the staff of the bouldering hall in exceptional cases.
  6. Active visitors who have not yet reached the age of 18 require the permission of a parent/guardian to participate in all activities. The parent/guardian of the active visitor will familiarise themselves with the house rules, the general terms and conditions, and the specific rules that apply at the Boulder Hall, according to age category, and that the underage active visitor adheres to the house rules and safety regulations of the Boulder Hall.
  7. Every visitor must be able to identify themselves.

  1. A subscription at the Boulder gym is taken out for a minimum duration of 3 months. After that, the subscription can be cancelled every month with a notice period of 10 days.
  2. A subscription begins at the moment of signing and is renewed monthly, without prior notice, on the day of signing, with payment collected a few days before the start of the new term.
  3. When automatic direct debit of the subscription is not possible, the Boulder gym has the right to deny the member access to the Boulder Hall until the subscription for that period has been fully paid.
  4. The Boulder gym may periodically implement a price change after timely prior notification.

Article 5 | Removal and Exclusion

  1. Visitors who, in the opinion of the Boulder gym, do not comply with the general terms and conditions, house rules, safety regulations, and/or behave in such a way that the order, concentration, or safety is jeopardised, may be removed immediately. In the case of repeated violations, the Boulder gym may decide to impose a complete future ban. The removed or banned visitor is not entitled to a refund of subscription or entry fees.
  2. For the damage that arises both directly and indirectly from the actions mentioned in the previous section by the visitor, the visitor is liable.

  8. If the Boulder gym is liable for any reason, such liability shall only lead to compensation to the extent that such liability is covered by the insurance of the Boulder gym and up to a maximum amount that is paid out under that insurance. If the insurer of the Boulder gym, despite the coverage, does not proceed to pay out to the injured party, or if the insurer is not obliged to pay out due to a non-insured attributable shortcoming of the Boulder gym, the liability of the Boulder gym is limited to a maximum of €10,000 per event. By accessing the Boulder gym or participating in events of the Boulder gym, the visitor or participant declares to accept and agree to this arrangement.
  9. The visitor is liable for the damage caused to the building and inventory by him personally.

Article 7 | Cancellation Terms

  1. In the event of cancellation or modification of a booking within 4 days before the start of the booking, the Boulder Hall may charge the full price of the original booking. This also applies to courses.

Article 8 | Applicable General Terms and Conditions

  1. These General Terms and Conditions apply from the time of publication. The Boulder Hall is entitled to change these general terms and conditions at any time. The new terms and conditions come into effect immediately upon publication and they cannot detract from the rights acquired by visitors beforehand, except in the case of renewed memberships and after the membership has ended.
